Access Violation RBRCL55.BPL
Hello.
I had Delphi, RB, InfoPower and PimFlash all installed and running
properly. I then think I made the mistake of installing 2 new programs:
1) A Xerox All in One printer and 2) Corel 10. After I installed both
of these, I received the error: "Access violation at address '029878A2'
in module 'RBRCL55.BPL'. Read of address FFFFFFFF. Ignore the error and
continue? NOTE: Ignoring the error may cause components to be deleted
or property values to be lost."
I chose Ignore our of curiosity - wow it got ugly.
So I did it again.
I chose cancel.
I uninstalled the Xerox, then Corel.
Same error.
I uninstalled Delphi, RB, InfoPower, and PimFlash
Reinstalled it all.
Same error.
(I did this 4 times)
Any ideas at all???
Thanks.
I can't see the forest for the trees right now, so hopefully it's
something obvious.

Explorer to v 5.5 - I ended up reloading Win 98 and Now RB works like it
always did. Lesson learned: buy hardware from a manufacturer who knows
software too.
Sorry for the trouble -
