Display Grid for Layouts

edited August 2001 in General
I am trying out the RB6 on Delphi 6.0 and cannot figure out how to turn on
the layout grid to make doing layouts easier. It appears grayed out. Is
this just a demo version problem or does this feature not work? I would
like to be able to have a layout grid and snap to make alignments easier at
design time.

A follow on question. There is no help that I can find on the Grid Options
properties under the view menu. The units for GRID size are not defined in
scope or meaning. Grid Size X 8, 8 what, inches, MM, etc, or does it take
the units single unit and divide by 8? I can't seem to get the snap-to
feature to work right and the display grid is grayed out. How does one
activate this? I like using grids as it is quick and easy.

Grids were to be implemented and released, but it wasn't finished and
subsequently the option is still in the designer. The grid is on the todo
    list for a future release.
