Keeping DBText connected?
On a number of occasions (usually when I am changing the
table component or data source or pipeline) the controls in
my report become disconnected. Re-setting these links
for a complex report can be tedious.
Is there any way to lock in the pipeline and field name?

then it should automatically reassign the controls in the report when the
report's datapipeline property is changed. Just this morning I was swapping
pipelines and it was automatically updating the controls datapipeline
references in D6 and RB6.01. Try resetting the pipeline property on the
report.

The problem was all of the components had no pipeline.
I had to select all the components and assign the
pipeline. Not an absolutely major problem.
It's just the uncertainty factor of missing something
that got changed by RBldr that I might not catch.
I've been replacing BDE pipelines with DB pipelines
since I now no longer use the BDE and want to be consistent
with the database environment.
Perhaps the sequence is critical... attach the new pipeline to
the datasource before connecting the report to the new
pipeline?
