Is there a way to determine how many users are connected to a RBServer? Don't want to shut it down if some is running a report. ActiveSessions always returns the default number, no matter how many clients are connected.
Nard, You guys do such a great job, I'm embarrassed to ask for more. But, of course it would be nice for me. Do any of the other admins want to know how many users are connected? Maybe I'm just too careful.
We have not had any other requests, but perhaps other want this feature and are afraid to ask.
You have no control over when users try to connect to the server or when they will disconnect (Actually a typical disconnect occurs implicitly via a time out due to inactivity). One approach is to leave the server up and running as much as possible and never take it down. If you do take it down, then just bring it back up as quickly as possible. For the users, a new session will be created the next time a request is issued to the server.
Comments
There is currently no way to determine the number of active sessions.
I can add this to the next release.
