Switching between preview and design tab

hi,
why does it take so long to switch between the preview tab and the design
tab
sometimes it takes up to 1 minute before the design tab is usable again
the report isn't that heavy (1 master and 4 subreports each one has its own
datapipe)

Can you check to see if your datasets are being closed and reopened in this
process? If you have RAP, it will cause a an additional delay when moving
back to the design workspace from the previewer. The reason is that the
report definition is streamed down and streamed back up when RAP is
invovled.
