Problem after installing TChart 5

edited September 2001 in General
I removed RB, installed TChart 5.02 for Delphi Pro, and then reinstalled RB.
I get this error whenever I try to start Delphi:

"Can't load package c:\program
files\borland\delphi5\RBuilder\Lib\dclRBC55x.bpl.
A device attached to the system is not functioning."

Anyone know why that would be? I've been told by the TChart folk that
TChart 5.02 is compatible with RB 6.02 and Delphi 5 Pro...

RB6.02 supports TeeChart 5.02 for Delphi 6. For Delphi 5, we support
    TeeChart 5.01.

My error. I do have TC 5.01 for D5. In hopes of being able to install
manually, I installed TC5 and then attempted to follow the manual instation
    instructions included in the
..RBuilder\TeeChart directory. I could not add the dclRBC55x.bpl package
("A device attached to the system is not functioning." error), so I
attempted to follow the compile instructions. I get to step 7:

    7. Open the rbTC55x.dpk package and click the compile button.
    8. Open the rbTDBC55x.dpk package and click the compile button.
    9. Open the dclRBC55x.dpk package and click the compile button.

    and then get this error:
    [Error] ppChDPEdDlg.pas(62): Undeclared identifier: 'TFormTeeSeries'

Is this a unit contained in the RB code or the TChart code?

Most likely there is a corrupt installation of RB. We have installations of
RB 6.02 here with TeeChart 5.01. I just reinstalled this morning and have
had no problems. I would uninstall/delete RB and also RB's Teechart 55x
packages. Perform the manual uninstallation process where you search your
drives for all related RB files. See the Installation thread of the
TechTips newgroup for an article on cleaning up a corrupt installation, just
to make sure there are no lingering files which may be causing the problem.
