Blank screen when entering editor

edited October 2001 in General
Greetings,
Was wondering if anyone else gets a blank screen when entering into the
editor. This would be on a pre-existing report that has been working fine
for quite a while.

I exit out of the editor, re-enter: the report appears but it looks like
none of the fields are assigned.

I close Delphi (5) which throws an AV (due to RB I believe), go back into
Delphi, bring up the report in the editor. Sometimes I get around this by
making the datasets active before bringing up the editor but it is not
consistant. It gets Very annoying after awhile.

Any clues would be GREATLY appreciated.

Environment:
OS: Win2000
Delphi 5
RBE: 5.56

Thanks in Advance,
Kevin

We have a 5.56 patch that fixes a problem where the paper height and width
get set to zero. The problem stemmed from a units change in the designer.
You would need to load and edit your reports in the runtime designer
component. I'll email the patch to you.

The only time I've seen any behavior like this is when you launch the
designer at runtime with no report component assigned to it. What version
was the previous report created in? Was it a previously working report in
5.56? Perhaps it is a conversion issue.

What is your email address? I can't get through to the one we have for you
    to send you the patch.
