Forcing a new page

edited October 2001 in General
Hello,

I am using Delphi 5, RB 6.02 and windows 2000.

How can I force a new page using code ?

How can I calculate before the printing of a region
the space left in the page for printing from the current position
(can I see this current position ?) to the bottom of the page,
excluding the footers ?

Thanks in advance,

Roy Waxman.

Well if someone has a component to do this then ReportBuilder must have
properties and methods to make it possible. Anyone in DM like to give us a
    hint what they are?

Having to purchase a suit of components (good though it may be) just to get
a page break seems a bit much!

    Check the
    ......ReportBuilder.tech-tips NG under "pagination."
It tells you how to do this.

Thanks Jon, but the tech-tops NG does not seem to have anything like that in
it. Actualy there seems to be less in there than I remember. Is this just
me, or has the tech-tips srunk?

    Sarah,
As confirmed by Bruce, there's lots there to see so it must be
your local setting on your browser.

    Jon, Bruce,
you were right the problem was in my browser -darn Outlook caught me out :)
Can get at the tech-tips now.

    Thanks

    Sarah

PS: Bruce, I did not mean to imply that your components weren't worth the
price. I'm sure they are lovely. It just seemed that there should be a page
break command somewhere in RB. As it is I can use a title band in the
subreport to do the job, but if I get more ambitious I will bear what you
    say in mind
