I see in the live demo on the web that there is a menu or tree on the left side on some reports. You use it to select a customer f.ex. What tecnique is used to implement that? It's cool!
The entire interface is being generated by the RB WebTier. It consists of XHTML and JavaScript.
1. Outline TreeView
The Report.OutlineSettings can be used to define whether a report generates an outline tree view that consists of page and/or group nodes.
ReportBuilder reports can then automatically generate an outline tree view.. The outline treeview is supported by the web previewer and the windows previewer.
2. AutoSearch forms
You can use the Query tools in ReportBuilder to define search criteria that are designated as AutoSearch.
ReportBuilder reports can then automatically generate a search form. This is supported by the web preview and the windows previewer.
Sorry I'm totlally new to Reportbuilder and I could not find anything about Outlineing in the documentations. I now have explored this feature and understands how this works. Thanks - all I needed was the keyword "Outline". I'm just blown away by all the features available to me!
