So Simple... And Yet...

edited July 2002 in General
I can't figure out how to do it. I want to print the date on the
right hand side of the page, and I want it to be there no matter
whether the report is done in landscape or portrait orientation. But,
I can't get the date system variable to move.

Help appreciated.

How are you attempting to do it? You want the var positioned in the bottom
right hand corner of the footer band in either case. So all you need to do
is figure out what that corner is. The bottom right corner of the band will
be the top of the band plus its height and the left of the band plus it's
width. Once you have those coordinates then subtract the width and the
height of the system variable and maybe subtract a little extract to add
    some padding.

Yes, I understand this... Would it be possible to add an "Align" property to
things like labels so that if the width of a band changed, it would
automatically pull the label with it?

Everything's possible :) We'll keep that in mind. Thanks.
