dynabic band height

Hi NG,

I have a problem with a report that contains a subreport. This supreport has
only one detail band and contains
two DBText fields, underneath each other.
The first always contains text, the second ist empty most of the time.
So I want the band to only use that much space as necessary.
Whcih settings do exactly realize this, as I guess that this is possible
without coding something - as I try to have external report files and no
more code.

Check out the 'address sqeeze' demo in the main reports demos (#33).
Theres's really no direct way to do this without using any code.

Alexander,

I managed to do what I wanted by using a DBMemo component linked to a normal
"character" field.
Memos can be configured to be streched and if the character-field is empty,
then it has a height of 0.
