Centered labels misaligned when Print from preview

I have Tpplabels in a number of places in a report with textalignment =
tacentered. On preview every thing is fine. But when I print from preview
SOME of these labels are lost of the right or left side of the page. Paging
through the report in preview after print also shows these labels to be now
incorrectly positioned.

Is there something that is not being reset before print from within preview
that is causing taCentered labels to misalign????

My report is quite complex - regions, groups, subreports, richedit, stretch
etc. and I am setting the width of controls in the report beforeprint event.
I am trying to create a simple example that repeats the problem, but so far
I can't pin it down. The TppLabel in the detail band is fine. One in group
header of a subreport prints off the right, another in group header of
another subreport is off the left.

I will pursue an example, meanwhile any clues??

BTW it is not the printer driver!! This happens on all different printers
(HP and Epson), and drivers are latest.

The misalignment of taCentered labels when printing from preview seems to be
caused by my changing the font colour in report.BeforePrint AFTER having set
the width of the lable to match the paper.

I don't understand it, but setting the label.font.color BEFORE setting
label.width in the report.BeforePrint works. Other way around and the labels
do not align properly when printed but wander off the page.

I am happy with my fix (took some finding), but I would love to understand
    it.
