More than one database alias

edited September 2002 in General
Hello,

I have a question about the database aliases. I asked this question before
and there was no solution, but there's RB 7 now, maybe there it is solved.
OK, here my scenario again:

I have two databases with two aliases one is a local database (alias:
DBLOCAL) and one is a database on a CD (alias: PARTS). If I now want print a
report where the tables from the local and the CD are used together in one
report I have to copy all tables together in one directory because until now
RB does only support one alias. This is quite annoying for me and our
customers because some of the tables are very large (sometimes about 100MB)
and copying the tables in one directory consumes a lot of time before the
user can see a result (printing or preview). My question now is: Is there a
way in RB 7 or is there a way to get around this problem (coyping the tables
in one directory).

Thanks,
Martin
