Color in Rich Edit

Hi:

I need the text in a rich edit to print with a gray hatching pattern
or silver color. When I set the color on the ppDBRichEdit to silver
the color only shows around the bottom edge and left side.

If I drop a shape behind the RichEdit and set its color and make the
RichEdit transparent it looks correct in the preview but the rich edit
prints white on paper surrounded by the color of the shape.

How can I fix this?

This has been discussed quite a bit. You will find different results with
different printers. Seems to be a driver issue.
