Low bitdepth gradients generated by TrsWebTier
Hello,
we are using the TrsWebTier component to publish reports on the web.
When viewed in the webbrowser, gradients are generated as 8bit GIF files in
the cache map. It is generated correctly in the designer and when generating
a pdf from that same webpage.
Is there a way to control the used image format? Maybe PNG or JPG?

In the past, 8-bit GIF images were used for shapes to conserve space however
with a gradient fill I can see how a higher quality image is required. I
created a patch that exports gradient shapes as JPEG's rather than GIF's.
Contact support@digital-metaphors.com to receive the patch.
