How to prevent ending up with the TITLE of a subreport on the bottom of a page

edited October 2003 in Subreports
Hi,
I have a subreport that is supposed to come after a strechable region.
This subreport has a TitleBand and a DetailBand
In quite a number of cases I end up with the title at the bottom of a page
end the rest of the subreport
on the next page.
But I do NOT want the subreport always to start on a new page.
I want it to start printing on the same page when the remaining space is
more than 5cm/2inches and start at the next page (with the title) when it is
less.

How do I go about it?

P.

Try setting the SubReport.StopPosition to reserve space at the bottom of the
    page.

    Hi Nard,

A good idea, but it won't do.

The subreport could be several pages long.

It has to be printed on all the available space.

I just do not want it to start in the bottom of a page.

So if there is only (5cm/2inches ) left on a page

when the subreport starts printing it not attempt it

But it should move to the next page.

    Is there a solution?

Try creating a Group in the subreport and specifying a "New Page When Less
Than" value. This property is called Group.NewPageThreshold.
