Mail merge with currency data - proper formatting

When I use the mail merge option on a richtext component, I wish to bring in
a currency value and have it format properly within the letter body but I am
getting just "4672" for "$4,672.00".

How can I get the value to display on the letter body properly formatted.

The RichText mail merge feature does not support the formatting of datafield
values.

Some Options:

1. Write custom code to programmatically merge the dbfield data. For an
example see demo 29 (dm0029.pas) located in RBuilder\Demos\Reports\Demo.dpr

2. Add a calculated field to the dataset that performs the formatting.
