Headerbands and Groupbands

I am trying to grasp what bands are available in a child subreport. It
would be nice if the ones that were not applicable were disabled from
the menu. I am trying to have a header print on every page of the
subreport but am not able to do so unless I create a group. Is that
expected?

Hi David,

Yes this is expected. Child type subreports do not have the capability of
printing page headers and footers. This causes conflicts with the main
report's page headers and footers. As an alternative, you will need to use
a group header and group footer as you said below. The Summary and Title
bands are also available for smaller subreports.
