Resolving RB 10.05 Installation Issues
--------------------------------------

Some customers installing RB 10.05 Server and Enterprise Editions for Delphi
2006 are encountering the following error

'Can't load package c:\program
files\borland\bds\RBuilder\lib\dcldad1010.bpl.
Unable to unregister component classes'.

Options for resolving this issue...

1. Follow the steps outlined below

or

2. Download an updated installation file using the RB 10.05 release info
emailed to registered users on 1/16/1006.

Notes:

1. This error only occurs with RB Enterprise and Professional Editions for
D2006. It does not occur with RB Standard and Professional Editions for
Delphi 2006. Nor does the error occur with RB 10.05 installations to other
Delphi versions - D2005, D7, or D6.

2. There is nothing wrong with binary files from the original release.
Resolving the issue is related to telling BDS the correct order in which to
load the RB design-time packages.

    Nico,

This finally let me get 10.0.5 to "stick", however loading demo.exe
program still puts Delphi into a "race" (100% cpu) and destabilizes the
ide. Reloading another app that does not us RB does not restore to a
normal condition. I have to use taskmanager to shut down Delphi.

There must be a typo here.
The first occurence of 'Professional Editions' should be Server Edition
    right?
So there is /no problem/ with the Professional Editions?

    Hi Roland,

Yes that is a typo. There are no problems with the Professional or Standard
    editions.

    Hi Mike,

With the updated installation program, we have tested the main demo using
BDS 2006, BDS 2006 with all updates, and Turbo Delphi 2006 without issues.
Check to be sure your library path is not pointing to any old source. Also,
try performing an installation into the default directory and see if that
makes a difference. Always be sure you have deleted older packages from
    your hard drive before reinstalling.
